The Invenesis fly adult oral assay evaluates the effect of treated blood on feeding S. calcitrans adult flies.
Individuals are distributed in an arena with access to a cupula filled with treated blood. Flies are exposed to the treatment orally by consuming blood and tarsally
by walking on the blood cup. The insects are left to incubate for up to 24 hours. Dead or knocked-down flies are counted manually after 4 and 24h. Efficacies are expressed in % mortality
