Our service includes a wide range of modifications such as mutations (site directed mutagenesis),

tags (e.g. His-Tag), the production of chimeric subunits or concatemers to suit your specific experimental requirements. To enhance translation efficiency for heterologous expression, we can add untranslated regions of genes native to the Xenopus oocytes.

Oocytes injection

Traditionally, manual injection of material into oocytes has been the standard method used by most laboratories.

However, this technique can be tedious and requires skilled personnel to perform microinjections under a binocular lens. To overcome these challenges, we have adopted the use of an automatic injection system known as the Roboinject.

With the Roboinject, oocytes are disposed of in conical wells, which provides mechanical alignment of the cell. Additionally, orientation is determined by the density difference between the animal (brown) and vegetal (white) poles.

This approach has enabled us to routinely inject hundreds of cells per week with ease and precision.

By utilizing this technology, we have eliminated the need for manual manipulation, making the process more efficient and reducing the risk of errors. We can inject DNA, total RNA, cRNA provided directly by you or by us. We can then perform the electrophysiological recording for you or ship the injected cells directly to your lab.
