In Brief:
The Invenesis GI adult nematodes immersion assay measures the effect of
compounds on the motility of freshly extracted adult nematodes.
5 female are deposited in each test well filled
with a suitable medium and warmed at 37°C. Then, 10 μL of treatment solution
formulated in DMSO is added per well and plates are incubated at 37°C for 4h in a
CO2 incubator. Motility is recorded at 2 and 4h using an automated acquisition
system. Efficacy is expressed in % motility reduction compared to negative
controls.
