In Brief:
The Invenesis tick adult injection assay measures the effect of compounds on the ability of engorged female ticks to lay eggs and to induce a lethal effect on egg development.
5 female are injected ventrally with 2 μL of treatment (in DMSO) and left incubated at 28°C/80% RH until eggs and larvae are observed in DMSO-treated ticks (negative controls). Efficacy is expressed in % of ticks laying eggs and % of individuals surrounded by live larvae.
