The Invenesis tick larvae tarsal assays evaluates the effect of a treated surface on larvae of hard ticks.
Individuals are distributed on a treated surface and left to incubate for up to 7 days. Motility of the ticks are quantified by machine vision. Motility scores are normalised with negative controls and expressed as percentage efficacy (100 % means no movement is observed).
