In Brief:
The Invenesis Fasciola hepatica assay adult immersion assay, measures the effect of compounds on adults F. hepatica collected from bovine livers at the slaughterhouse.
Therefore, this assay is seasonal and can be performed from May to October in the Northern hemisphere. Adult parasites are deposited in a multi-well plate and exposed to treatment during 24h. The effect of compounds is measured as motility reduction using an automated data acquisition system. Efficacy is expressed in % motility reduction.
